Theatrical Review of Vantage Point

i really didnt like the movie. u watch the same scene over and over again. and then the ending is 20 min long. so the first hour of the movie you watch the same scene. people in theather i was at were yelling like omg not again lol

But for people who get off on watching an American president get shot over and over again, this is the next best thing to looping the Zapruder film.

And it's not like the trailer doesn't spoil it anyway.

What an awful movie. I think you were too generous. My advice: Watch the first five minutes, then run away as fast as you can. On your way home, make up all sorts of ways the film could have continued from that very promising beginning. All of them will be better than what the filmmakers chose.

as usual, ppl being real negative over a current movie that tries to do something alittle different.

There's nothing particularly different about the film. And doing something "different" does not mean that a film is automatically great. Or good. Or even adequate.

i understand they were tryn to do something different, but it sucked. just when you started to get into the movie it went back to the beginning of the story, come on!!! it sounds cool but it was over done way to much, and it wasnt realistic. The president body guards in this movie looked like they were parking lot security guards.

I thought it was a very entertaining movie. I'll definitely check it out again when it's released on Blu.

I actually thought it was pretty ingenious that not only did you see the same event from different perspectives, but each subsequent scene helped the story unfold a bit more then the previous one.

If you read the review, you would have known most of my problem was with the characters and lack of development, not with the concept. I like when movies think out of the box like this. However, there has to be some reason to watch OTHER than the gimmick. Not present here.
