I never had a problem streaming stuff through my PS3 - ever, and I stream some weird formats that Windows Media Player has no hope of understanding. Luckily if you do have some different media types, there are codecs available free on the Internet to solve your problems. I found the TVersity message board to be a great help with my codec problems in the past.

Now, how to stream Adobe Lightroom slide shows in Canon RAW format.... hmmm. Don't worry, I'll figure it out eventually!
