WTH? why in the world re-release this...I mean, I love the show but this does not appear to be anything more than new packaging

It's got some new extras, too. :D
Look, Fox has been able to put a new 24 product on the DVD shelves for the last six years. They have nothing coming until Fall 2009 at the very earliest because Season 7 was pushed to January 2009. I don't know about the numbers, but I'm sure 24 releases sell well. So why not re-release the one package which is lacking? Makes corporate sense to me.

yea, I guess it does help to keep the show in peoples minds until 09. I wonder if they are gonna re-release every season now?
