Any chance of a review? I realize it will probably be the same review as the bluray since the transfer was probably done from the same master and encoded the same way, with the extras being different of course. Did you guys receive a review copy? And it seems Amazon or other online sources have effectively become the only place to find this. Guess I should be glad it is being released at all.

As of this writing (4-8-08) I have not received copies of any of Warner Bros.' last three HD DVD releases ("August Rush," "Appleseed: Ex Machina," and "I Am Legend."). When I asked the WB press rep what was happening with them, she explained that the press department had not yet received any copies but would send them out for review just as soon as they arrived.
Yes, the HD DVD edition should be identical to the Blu-ray edition in terms of picture and sound, since WB use the same encodes, the same codecs, and the same transfer rates for both of the high-def formats. The big difference would be the HD DVD version being an HD DVD and DVD Combo edition.
