Emmy Award-winning Firefly Blu-ray 3-disc set includes all 14 Episodes presented in stunning high definition!

Plus All-New BD Exclusive Content including a Firefly Reunion in HD (along with New Episode Commentary by creator Joss Whedon and select cast members.)

Century City, Calif. – Experience the journey into the wild western space frontier (now in high-definition) with the return of the popular sci-fi fan-favorite Firefly - The Complete Series, blasting off for the first time onto Blu-ray Disc on November 11th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment - SRP is $89.95.

From fantasy mastermind writer/producer Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), the adventurous space-age series has accumulated a devoted fan-base since its 2003 premiere on DVD and garnered an Emmy® Award that same year. The ensemble cast includes nine members of a renegade crew of the spaceship "Serenity," led by Nathan Fillion (Waitress) who won the Cinescape Genre Face of the Future Award in 2003 for his role.

Along with standout performances by Gina Torres (Standoff), Alan Tudyk (3:10 To Yuma), Morena Baccarin (Stargate SG-1), Adam Baldwin (Chuck), Jewel Staite (Stargate: Atlantis), Sean Maher (Party of Five), Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Emmy® Award nominee Ron Glass (Barney Miller), FIREFLY combines a natural and futuristic setting with traditional Western elements.

Set in the year 2517, the series explores the aftermath of a civil war and the pioneer culture that exists on the fringes of their star system. Featuring exciting new BD exclusive content, Firefly: The Complete Series 3-disc set includes all 14 episodes in Blu-ray HD, and is highlighted by an all-new "Firefly Reunion" roundtable discussion about the series, plus a brand new episode commentary with Whedon and select cast members.

Synopsis:
Five hundred years in the future there's a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table.

But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space.

Considering is easy to get the SD version for $20, I would say at the most $50, at the most...

I love the Serenity movie, like somebody said before, is what the SW prequels should've been like...

Great show, got the dvd set for like 17 bucks. Sucks it was cancelled I think the show is better than the movie, and I loved the movie.

Then again, Heroes Season 1 on Blu-ray is going for $100 MSRP!

Since I like Firefly a lot better than Heroes, the Amazon price of $63 doesn't seem to be that out of my range. Then again, Firefly includes only about 12 hours worth of show... why did Fox dump Firefly early again?

Because Fox hates TV.
